Maria Elena Altany has been teaching private voice lessons since 2011. She has a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelors degree Vocal Performance from Loyola University New Orleans.

Maria Elena was a guest vocal coach and choir consultant for the Walnut Valley Unified School District from 2014- 2020. She has music directed productions of Into the Woods and The Pirates of Penzance at Diamond Bar High School. Two of her students have been accepted to the Musical Theatre studio at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. She currently teaches online and in-person voice lessons out of her home studio in Long Beach, California.
